Vaccinations and Deworming

Protect your pet and keep adventures safe.

Vaccinations are one of the most effective ways to safeguard your pet against serious, sometimes fatal diseases. A timely vaccine can prevent illnesses that would be difficult or costly to treat.

For dogs we provide protection against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, and rabies. For cats we cover panleukopenia, calicivirus, herpesvirus, and rabies. We also assess your pet's lifestyle and exposure risks to recommend additional vaccines such as kennel cough, leptospirosis, and feline leukemia.

Deworming is equally important. Intestinal parasites such as roundworms, hookworms, tapeworms, and whipworms are common in Kenya and can cause weight loss, anaemia, diarrhoea, and in severe cases intestinal blockages. Some parasites can infect humans, making deworming essential for the whole household.

We create a personalised vaccination and parasite prevention plan for every pet, from the first puppy or kitten series to adult boosters, and provide reminders via SMS to ensure every dose is delivered on time.

Frequently asked questions

When should my puppy or kitten start vaccinations?
The primary course begins at six to eight weeks, with follow-up doses every three to four weeks until sixteen weeks. Rabies vaccination is given at twelve weeks or older.
Are there any side effects from vaccines?
Mild lethargy or slight swelling at the injection site for a day or two is common. Serious reactions are rare. Pets are monitored for fifteen minutes after vaccination.
My adult dog has never been vaccinated. Can we start now?
Yes. Adult pets can start a primary vaccination series at any age. We create a catch-up schedule to bring them fully up to date safely.
How often are boosters needed?
Core vaccines are typically boosted annually or every three years depending on the vaccine. Deworming is recommended every three months for most pets.
Do you provide vaccination certificates for travel?
Yes. We issue official rabies certificates and can prepare all required documentation for domestic or international travel.
